The steam clock in Gastown
Another Rainy day and here we are at the Vancouver acquarium. This is our 10th day in Canada and we haven't seen but a peek of the sun. Couldn't take that quintessential stroll in Stanley Park so we opted to visit the aquarium. Had dinner in in Chinatown last night and then walked back to our hotel by way of Yaletown. Very Yuppie there. After the visit to Stanley park, we walked back to Robson street and over to The Bay to do some shopping. Had Thai for dinner and really enjoyed a sit-fry dish with mango, chicken, and cashews. Came presented in the mango shell. Not sure how they did that since I have to peel the mango to get the fruit off that pit.
The day we drove down to Tswassen to catch the ferry for Victoria, we saw lots of sunshine and made for a very pleasant and photographic excursion in the Butchart Gardens. Drove in to Victoria, found our B&B and then walked over to the Inner Harbour ( a 5 minute walk) and took loads of pictures at the Parliament building and the Empress Hotel. Today we walked along the seawall until the afternoon misty rain started and then we bought 2 tickets for the Royal BC Museum (An excellent museum). Had eggs benedict for breakfast this morning. I decided that every day in British Columbia Canada is a bad hair day but people don't seem to care about that. Everyone owns a coat that looks waterproof and has a hood. You do not walk out of doors without your umbrella. There are more Japenese tour buses here that we saw in the maritimes.
Tomorrow it is get on the ferry for Port Angeles and then tour Olympia National Park. Time to drive again and give our feet(s) a rest.
